Occasion: WFH and errands
Details: TSE cashmere sweater from The RealReal, similar colors here; Staud purse, rented (similar); Madewell skirt from a very long time ago (same one in a 6 and a 4 and a 0); burgundy ribbed tights of unknown provenance, burgundy loafers from Bass—purchased new, no regrets, but they do take a little while to break in. Here are some secondhand choices—go 1/2 size down if you’re unsure.
Notes: I wish I had a better photo with the outerwear—it was warm enough to wear just a white fur vest (likely real but thrifted a very long time ago! altered from coat to vest) over the sweater.
Occasion: Getting coffee with a friend (and taking home a big pile of books from his apartment because he’s moving shortly!)
Details: Red cashmere beanie from COS, similar here; red cashmere sweater, thrifted and very old, similar sweaters here; wool pants from vintage market in LA, similar here, silver socks from Anthropologie (sister discount!), and Bass loafers again.
Notes: Wore this with a brown (fake, thrifted) fur coat. Have been wearing this sweater more since my therapist said red was a good color on me lol.
Occasion: This photo was taken on the way to Maine just before New Years’s Eve, but I’ve been rewearing this outfit post-snowfall because boots!
Details: Red COS beanie, J.Crew tissue turtleneck, so many secondhand; thrifted men’s striped button down, similar here; Calvin Klein jeans via Etsy, similar here; braided leather belt via Poshmark, so many online; and classic LL Bean boots from *checks email confirmation* 2013 WHERE DOES THE TIME GO. Sizing on these is weird, so read up before you buy secondhand (plenty available!)
Notes: Versions of this outfit (namely the striped button-down and black turtleneck) seem to be all over the internet this week, but I have had the below photo saved for years from Andrea Linett’s
Occasion: trivia night w/neighbor friends
Details: Sandro sweater, rented (whole post of argyle sweaters forthcoming!); vintage wool pants; COS beanie; Nike Blazers, secondhand here.
Notes: I’ve been wearing this sweater a lot, partly because I when I rent I want to get my money’s worth out of a garment, and partly because as a therapist, I only see each client once a week, so I can repeat the same outfit multiple days in a row. =)
Occasion: WFH and errands
Details: COS beanie; Bass loafers; wool pants; secondhand Coach purse via Etsy, so many online here; purple TSE cashmere sweater via Poshmark, similar ones here; old thrifted coat, having trouble finding lookalikes!
Notes: Is it getting boring at this point with so many repeats? Here you can at least see my outerwear. I kind of like giving myself the constraint of a capsule for the week, obviously—these pants and loafers are definitely in the mix.
Occasion: Doctor’s appointment in the city
Details: Tan cashmere COS beanie, similar here; wool pants; Bass loafers; Sportmax blazer via the RealReal, similar; thrifted silk leopard print shirt, exact shirt here and here.
Notes: This is my least favorite look, though I like all the pieces separately—too many “fancy” pieces in one look. If I were working in an office with a nice dress code, I’d feel more comfortable in this outfit, but in my current life it would have felt more natural with a t-shirt underneath or some sneakers.
I expect I’ll be wearing those boots a lot this week, as it’s snowing again while I type this! Suggestions for outfits that don’t feel straight out of an LL Bean catalog are welcome.

I screenshotted more than one of these for inspiration 😍 so chic!!!!!!
