Love deep dives into relatively obscure designers. Also LOVE how you styled the pieces, esp the second one with the dance sweatshirt (love vintage dance gear as much as vintage nba!)

I know, now I have a new graphic tee/sweatshirt term to search for 😂

Can you wear your dress open- like a jacket? With simple top n simple jeans? CN you show the whole length of the dress.

It is soooo 80’s. I remember having a Christian Dior girls dress with a similar plaid and ruffled neck Elizabeth the First would have worn in the 1600’s!! Or 1500??? So fun

i also find silk printed tops/dresses hard to let go of because they just feel classic and often drape well, even though at the moment they may feel dated. amy from tibi always says these are the items or "problem children" she just can't offer help with, i suppose because they are somewhat one note. but that always kinda bothers me, because of course we should not all be getting rid of our printed silks just because we identify with the CMC adjectives!

Yes! Such a good point. I’m often hesitant to let go of thrifted silk at all because it’s so much harder to find nowadays. And I think a “one-note” garment is just even more of a fun challenge to style :)

That red print jacket is INCREDIBLE 👀👀 and I love your styling for the animal print dress 🦓Soooo identify with not being able to let go of thrifted silk hahaha! It just feels like such a find, and you already know it ages well (which i can’t say for some newer silk I’ve bought in the last decade tbh). thrifted a pencil skirt a few months back that I had to take in at the waist to actually sit where I need it but I couldn’t say no for a deal on silk AND a gorgeous cranberry color! No idea how to wear it, pencil skirts are not my normal style at all, but maybe this is my sign to wear it

That sounds gorgeous! Would you wear it to work or just normal life?

Super late reply but I just wore the skirt to work last week! I am not much of a skirt person in daily life so probably will be more of a work item, but you never know! The color is so gorgeous, it made me happy to look at while wearing hahah :)

I love this piece -- and growing up in Boston and then living in Brookline, a soft spot for the Dukakis duo. Not me with a Dukakis poster on my freshman dorm wall. Thank you so much for sharing this delight.
