It’s been commented but finally…a post for folks in the tropics and actual hot weather! Love these, especially the jams world pick.

Yes to all of it! My MO is: biggest dress you can find -- like a cloud or a cake. Walk super super slowly. Degree Clinical.

Omg I love the idea of clouds and cakes…so much more appealing to think of summer dressing that way!

Spot on as usual. My general survival rule for 100 degree / high humidity mid Atlantic days is “stop touching me” so I’m all about a floaty dress or a loose pant!

Finally a realistic summer clothing post! Thank you from a girl in Houston- this vibes with so many of my summer dressing rules. I also stick to white or black (in addition to patterns), lace bras and lace or mesh underwear for air flow, and sleeveless or loose tie front tops when possible. Additionally, I almost only wear sandals/open shoes this time of year!

Omg yes of course sandals… I got around the no open toed shoes rule at my last job by wearing fisherman sandals! How do you wear white without sweating through?

Looser white stuff tends to work! Or something textured that won’t show sweat

The billowy pants + cotton eyelet everything is my current mood. Bonus points for women rocking men's s/s button-down shirts in this heat!

The first and most important question I have after reading and seeing this article - HOW DO YOU MANAGE YOUR BANGS IN HUMIDITY? Because I'm struggling and yours looks so perfectly neat and nice.

To be fair these pictures are all taken BEFORE going outside!! But I think my general tips are - keep them shorter (frequent trims!) to cut down on the weird flippy stuff that happens when they’re longer, and make use of dry shampoo and texturizing spray :)

I recently thrifted a 20 year old pair of Banana Republic cargo pants and am not used to pants being that low of a rise 😆 I would also say in summer I shy away from bras with underwires and foam cups.

I shy away from underwire as much as I can 😂
