Hi new subscribers from the Magasin chat! As a former Tumblr girlie (from way back when) who still has online turned IRL friends from that era, I’m thrilled to see more new people here. Welcome 😊. Feel free to send any specific (or vague!) secondhand sourcing requests. I like a challenge.
Here’s a more or less complete week of outfits!
Occasion: WFH, dog walking and neighborhood errands
Details: Red cashmere beanie from COS, similar here and here; black J. Crew tissue turtleneck, secondhand here; Ganni vest, on sale here; Calvin Klein jeans via Etsy, similar styles here and here; Sam Edelman boots from a couple years ago, exact style secondhand here (10) here (9) here (10.5) here (9) here (9.5)
Notes: I think I like this vest with loafers or sneakers better, but the practicalities of life (walking a dog who loves the dirt on a rainy day) dictated something easier to wipe off. I changed to run my errands!
Occasion: WFH, errands
Details: tan COS beanie, similar here; tan cashmere sweater from Anthropologie that was a gift from my sister, exact one here and here, similar here (also recommend searching “Pilcro cashmere” or “Pilcro valani cashmere” for so many other color options on Poshmark); white button-down from the RealReal (literally any slim white button-down will do!); tan MUJI cords from 2017, similar ones here here here; limited edition Nike Blazers in Coffee from GOAT, secondhand here here and here
Notes: I bought and mailed a pair of these pants to my dear friend Anna while she was in vet school in Starkville, Mississippi and they were out of stock online (coastal elites come thru). So whenever I wear them I get to think about her <3
Occasion: brunch with my cousin and their girlfriend and picking up a Casio keyboard from Craigslist (!)
Details: green TSE cashmere sweater from the RealReal, similar here here and here; tan COS beanie again; MUJI pants again; and Nike Blazers again
Notes: My secondhand love is not limited to clothing—Craiglist remains one of my favorite websites for the sixteenth year in a row! So excited to reintroduce myself to the piano
Occasion: WFH, muddy dog-walking, Nets game with a friend
Details: red COS beanie again; green sweater again; dark brown MUJI corduroys, similar ones here here here; North Face boots, the Ballard rolldown, discontinued but can find the exact style here here here or by searching “North Face Ballard” on Poshmark for a fair amount of options!
Details: I own these boots in black as well and love them so much (for comfort as well as style) that I emailed the North Face customer service in 2017 asking if they would bring back this discontinued style. (They said no, but were super nice about it.) Also—I’m trying to make green and red work together without evoking the spirit of Christmas! I think this is a good start! The green needs to be yellow-y and the red needs to be orange-y, IMO. These boots came with the colorful laces, but it’s a good reminder that a new pair of shoelaces can freshen up an old pair of boots.
Occasion: WFH, evening of painting and Finnish candy tasting at neighbor’s house (I am friends with everyone on my block because of the dog and it is wonderful)
Details: blue Coach hat from eBay to replace the blue cashmere hat I lost in Norway and the replacement hat my dog destroyed (oops), same exact one here; vintage Miami Heat sweatshirt from Etsy, similar here here and here or find your own team!; COS short-sleeve button down (I find short sleeves easier under sweaters sometimes), same one here and similar here here here; green pants from Rent the Runway x Ashley Park, similar here here here here and here; Nike Blazers, secondhand here.
Notes: I am a huge fan of Basketball The Sport but I don’t have a team—I just like to root for the underdog. However, I am from Florida, the Miami Heat logo and colors are excellent, and I believe Jimmy Butler is the funniest player in the NBA (he always commits to the bit!) and that is more than enough reason to wear this sweatshirt.
That’s all for now! Feel free to brag about any recent finds (secondhand clothing or Craigslist/FB Marketplace) in the comments!

Came from the Magasin thread and so glad I did! Great outfits. And LOVE Jimmy Butler. I’m a Heat and Ny teams fan and agree that Heat have the best colors. Their throwback stuff is excellent
Yessss came from the Magasin thread and I love this type of content. Avid IRL and online thrifter (and bball fan - love college hoops). I recently found a pair of vintage raw silk Saks Fifth Ave trousers at my favorite IRL thrift store for $10, I had been casually looking for something like them for a while so it was super satisfying. Currently on the hunt for cool BELTS!
