what I bought (and wanted!) in October
the most non-secondhand clothing I've bought all year!
I didn’t include all of my Copenhagen purchases from early October in this email because I didn’t want to be redundant, but if you missed that post, you can find it here!
Before I share the things I bought with you… here are all the things I wanted to get:

Velvet baseball cap: Saw these at the Designmuseum in Copenhagen—charmed by the fabric, briefly got sucked into vision of wearing this to a holiday party with a fancy dress, realized my imagination couldn’t extend much further re: use cases.
Akris shirt: Still very into this silhouette (weird fitted short-sleeve half-zip), very into the fabrication (wool and silk), not sure about this color on me.
La Fetiche sweater: Okay, if this sweater weren’t fully sold out I might have bought it. I saw this brand at Storm in Copenhagen and when I looked them up, this one (obviously) immediately called out to me. If it pops up on the RealReal, I will absolutely get it!
Blue Swatch: Still really want a Swatch I could wear more frequently than my hot pink one. Was looking for cobalt blue Swatches secondhand, and I think I like this style the best. There are a few of these on eBay right now.
Le Bon Shoppe socks: I already have a few pairs of these—love them, would like some duplicates and a couple new colors. Not necessary right now though!
As for what I did buy…
In addition to everything I bought in Copenhagen, here’s what I bought stateside.
Guys, I freaked out in Uniqlo right before my trip. I bought a white t-shirt and two bags (a navy puffy shoulder bag and a black crossbody bag). This was absolutely a pre-vacation panic purchase, but I did use all of them on the trip and have continued to use them. Also cannot believe how long I went without a proper white t-shirt. It’s been years!
GAP mid-rise twill horseshoe pants in ‘Bordeaux burgundy’: Another non-secondhand purchase! What’s going on? I’m normally not a huge fan of drawstring waist pants, but these looked so good on the model, and I’d seen them online when I bought the other pair of GAP pants last month. They’re sturdy and structured in a way that compensates for the casual-ness of the drawstring.
Batsheva dress (via the RealReal): I was looking for a good dress that would work for winter/holidays (looks good with tights, boots, etc.) and couldn’t believe how cheap this 100% silk Batsheva dress was on the RealReal ($60?!). The other one I shared in this post has already sold, but I’ll share if I see another secondhand version floating around the internet.
What I’m eyeing for next month…
I am really loving my new Salomons (hypebeast-iness be damned!) —I think they’re the most comfortable shoes I own, which is saying a lot as someone who already refuses to wear uncomfortable shoes! They’re relatively expensive and hard to find secondhand, but I’m keeping my eye out for an all-black pair. (My Poshmark balance from selling right now is almost at $200—maybe if it goes above $200, I’ll cash it out and use it to get another pair.)
Also looking at secondhand cotton sweaters. I found a good crop of them earlier this year when I was back in Florida thrifting, and as someone who always runs hot, that’s the only type of sweater I can really wear until the temperature dips below 45 degrees (after that, wool and cashmere are fair game again!).

That Batsheva dress is p-e-r-f-e-c-t. Good find!
I feel like the dress is very you!
