florals, ruffles, and a violet gumball

Maison Louis Marie candle in No.04 Bois de Balincourt: I first found out about this candle from an employee at the Steven Alan store on Atlantic when I asked how they got the store to smell so good. I’ve used up this candle multiple times, and just reached the bottom of my last one. Because I keep every single confirmation email, I checked to see how the price has changed over time. It was $34 in 2016 when I first bought it, and it’s only gone up to $38. Not bad!

Tory Burch silk blouse (secondhand, but still had tags on) from the RealReal: Love this shirt! Was restricting myself to the “fun blouses” directive I mentioned last month and I’m very happy with it. (It’s already featured in a week of outfits post!)

Catbird violet gumball pearl pendant: I used up a giftcard from Christmas so this was free! What an appealing name… violet gumball pearl. I thought I had a chain to put it on, but unfortunately I was wrong, so I’ll have to wait a bit to actually wear it. Will be on the lookout for a vintage gold chain or perhaps hold out for a Catbird chain for Christmas or birthday gift!

Who? Weekly ticket for upcoming show: Laughed until my face hurt at their last live show so this feels like a solid investment. Will go with my friend Jess in December. (Also made $55 at Beacon’s Closet last week, so that’s essentially zeroed out.)

Batsheva x Laura Ashley blouse from Poshmark: I wasn’t into this collaboration initially but the more I saw it out in the wild, the more I warmed up to it. I’ve been checking various resale platforms for the blouses and told myself if I saw one in my size for under $50, I’d do it. It fits perfectly, and received compliments from all but one of the clients I saw the day I wore it, as well as from my husband and a neighbor! Unexpected but appreciated! There are a few out in the wild now in different sizes: here in a “L” from the RealReal (guessing that’s a 10 or a 12?), and here in a 0. I’m wearing a 4.

As a little bonus… here are some things I keep adding to my cart on the RealReal then abandoning. Take the decision out of my hands! Please!
