I felt relatively uninspired and blah (fashion-wise) this week, in large part because of the weather—the morning and the afternoon feel like two completely different days this time of year! Even though summer is my least favorite season, I actually think spring might be the hardest one to dress for. I ended up defaulting to basics this week, namely my old army jacket and the rented Agolde jeans that are becoming a staple already.
DAY ONE: Wearing a blue linen t-shirt from Uniqlo (very hard to find linen t-shirts secondhand in this color!), green army jacket (similar here) from the army navy store on West 8th (gone but not forgotten!), rented Agolde jeans, Nike Blazers (many secondhand here), and Coach beanie via eBay (exact one here).
DAY TWO: Wearing another Uniqlo linen t-shirt, this time in light grey (similar here) along with my pearl pendant necklace (similar here) and Mignonne Gavigan daisy chain necklace (very similar here), Breda watch (exact one secondhand here), purple J. Crew woven tote (here in navy, similar vibe here), Needles trousers (secondhand here), and Melissa sandals (secondhand here in army green). Trying out layering necklaces—I think I like it?
DAY THREE: Working from home on a very rainy day and wanted to feel cozy. This shirt does the trick. This is another one of those outfits that gives Playmobil figurine vibes, but I don’t really mind it here! Wearing thrifted BDG striped shirt (exact one here), RTRxAshley Park pants (similar here), and brown Nike Blazers (secondhand here).
DAY FOUR: Wearing the RTR x Ashley Park pants again, Melissa sandals again, freebie hat from the launch of Worry by Alexandra Tanner (similar here), and NYC Sewing Club t-shirt. The shirt was made by a boy who gave it to my friend and then ghosted—we both agree the shirt is objectively cool so it’s okay to keep wearing! His loss! I hope I run into him while I have it on. Accessorizing with my dog’s leash.
DAY FIVE: Our neighbors are moving back to London and I am very sad!! They had a combo Eurovision viewing/going-away party. I made Alison Roman’s spinach artichoke dip for the first time (highly recommend) and wore my green J.Crew tote (exact one here; many secondhand here), Nike Blazers again, braided belt via Poshmark (similar here), Apiece Apart pants (same fabric composition and similar style here, just take out the belt), and Jenny Lewis tour shirt (secondhand here, but best bought at a concert!)—thought the graphic on the front felt vaguely Eurovision.
DAY SIX: Probably the last cold day we’ll have until the fall. Wearing the beanie again, army jacket again, rented Agolde jeans again, the vintage sweatshirt I bought on Etsy last month (very similar vibe here), red socks, and these Eastland mocs (same ones secondhand here)—hadn’t thought about them in years, but dug them out of a bag in the hall closet after being influenced by
and ’s posts about boat shoes earlier this year (here and here, respectively).DAY SEVEN: Ran into an old friend (we met working at a bookstore fifteen years ago) and decided to meet up for lunch. We could have spent hours more catching up! On our way to the train, we ran into our former boss from the bookstore who was delighted to see us together! I love my neighborhood! Everything’s a repeat from earlier outfits this week except for the Bass cow-print loafers (similar Bass pairs here and here) and green socks.

That yellow tee is amazing
Goodness gracious these are all delightful. The red sock really take everything to the next level. Why do the lame boys always make good shirts? Should be illegal!
